HALIM ABD RAHMAN – Managing Director/Expedition Leader. Founder of Adventure Sports Management
Sdn Bhd.
A pioneer of 4WD motorsports events in Malaysia, he initiated and managed numerous expeditions, locally and
abroad. Halim is one of a select few with personal knowledge and experience of almost every track ever used by 4WD enthusiasts
in Malaysia.

Together with Dr Zaini Shaarani, he represented Malaysia in the Camel
Trophy challenge in 1988.
A chartered secretary by profession, Halim now devotes full time to his 4WD hobby. In June
2000, he formed the Petronas Adventure Team
Malaysia, an enterprise fully driven by his passion for adventure sports.
This followed his stint as expedition advisor for the Petronas Passage To Tibet. His team then organised and managed their
second expedition, Petronas Indochina 2000.
Halim’s interests extend to other sporting events such as heading
logistics and transport for Le Tour de Langkawi, a role he has played since 1996.

AZMAN BAHARUDDIN – Promotions and Marketing Director

His involvement started in 1999 during the Petronas Passage To Tibet. Azman was an executive producer for
television and manager of media and promotions. For Petronas Indochina 2000, he again managed media and promotions besides
assisting the recce team.

Part of his responsibility includes helping the expedition leader in local 4WD
activities and on Le Tour de Langkawi from 1996 - 2001. His event managing experience covers various sports and special events
around the country.

MOHD FARUK ABD RAHMAN – Operations Director
Director, Adventure Sports Management Sdn
Bhd.
Petronas Adventure Team introduced a bike section this year. Faruk is well placed to lead this division on account
of his vast experience in biking and related event management.
|
|
|
Faruk has more than 15 years in the motorcycle industry, principally in sales
and marketing. Commitment to adventure sports prompted him to initiate and manage many biking events and safety riding campaigns.
As
a senior marshall for Le Tour de Langkawi, Faruk has helped to manage the marshall department from 1996 to 2001. Led by Faruk,
the biking section of Petronas Adventure Team will soon have its own calendar of activities.
