FPR_launch_big.jpgOn March 2nd 2003, the whole world watched approvingly as PETRONAS FP1 makes her much-awaited debut at the first round of the 2003 WSBK.

Essentially Malaysia's first superbike, the FP1’s 900cc, reverse parallel triple engine originates from the similarly configured 990cc GP1 engine, a deliverance by Sauber PETRONAS Engineering (SPE).

Reversing the tradition of a race bike being derived from an existing road bike, the team developed the race bike first, capitalizing on racing technology and extensive testing data. 80% of the race bike will be transferred directly onto the street legal, race replica Foggy FP1 road bikes.
